I’m back. Hello 2024! Here are my first 3 reads of the year. I was only posting on my bookstagram page but I want to come back and post on my blog as well.
This year I’m hoping to read less books, have less stress on posting and getting back into reading as a hobby and not a second job. Not that it was but I was pushing myself to listen to all the books.

This had so much in it! Political unrest, colonization by magical folks, bitter resentments from a past dealt with badly.
The romance between the two mcs was slow and built brick by brick. They were different classes and couldn’t be together. He was getting married and she was designing their clothes for goodness sakes. I will say I loved the idea of being able to imbue magic and ideas and feelings into clothes. I would love an outfit that gave me courage, self confidence and make me feel unstoppable some days.

This was such a delicious friends to lovers. He had been waiting so long for her he didn’t even really he was waiting anymore until the threat of losing her friendship to marriage. Well it might have been ok if they were compatible and he treated her right but the guy was just following a list.
But OMG Breaker in the bedroom is a sight to behold. Woah! I haven’t read the first two in the series but from the stories the wives of Breakers brothers shared I’m def going back.

This was definitely entertaining and fun. I will say that Helen the oblivious Golden retriever stole the show and unknowingly found a lot of clues. Loved the group of pregnant women trying to solve a murder, they were all so different but going through a huge life event. My birthing classes weren’t this exciting🤣
