What RadusRead week ending February 3, 2024

I am late posting my wrap-up from last week. I had a busy reading week and was very busy at work. This is all listening when I can while I am working, cleaning, moving around. There were some good ones this week and I usually pick books that are within in the genres I love. I also am not too picky on voice or writing style. I love listening to stories of all kinds. I love all the tropes. I had an idea for a book with the trope everyone hates and of course I am starting to write something. But as my usual I will write a few chapters then forget about it.

This one is so fascinating. Lots of secrets and threats, people with incredible powers and those with immense knowledge. But none of them know where or how to help Violet find her mother. Without her mother she’s as good as gone by some crazy powerful person.
Though she’s uncovering some interesting facts and trusting the wrong people. But I’m so curious to see what happens. The magic system is very interesting and the antagonists are kind of in a grey area for me. They just trying to free themselves and they are fed up.

Love this! Saw someone using T Swifts song If I was a Man and I totally agree. The bro code is no joke. I’m almost 5 8 and have an awful rbf so this kind of behavior doesn’t happen to me at least to my face lol.
I really want to hear Shane’s voice. Everyone keeps saying how nice it is.
I can totally see how this could happen with remote and having an ambiguous name can make people confused with your gender. And the only difference between a commanding man and an abrasive woman is nothing.. just patriarchal society expecting silent woman. Good luck with that.
