Chloe Brown and Redford “Red” Morgan have some misconceptions about eachother when they first met. He doesn’t understand her brusque manner and thinks she’s stuck up. He’s friendly and smiley to everyone but her because of it. But he is definitely attracted to her which is bad because she lives in the building he works in.
After a incident with a cat in a tree her behavior becomes more transparent. That she is a person living with chronic pain.
Chloe had made a list to experience more with her life after a near death experience. So she decides to enlist Red’s help with some of the items on his list since he has a motorcycle… and might be able to help with other items cough cough.
She helped him build a website and built up his self esteem to showcase his art again. And he showed her how desirable she was regardless of having an illness. (Ugh I had a constant pain for 2 months that would not stop. Drs think it was stress related and I’m sure it’s not up to that kind of pain of this illness but if that’s what it’s like I’m so sorry to all of my friends who manage daily!)
Their chemistry is intense and so steamy! From the start they both were struggling with their need for eachother but not knowing how to or if they should ask for anything. It was so hot when they finally did come together. Not everyone likes dirty talk in the bedroom so it might not be for you, but 🔥🔥.
They both had their own baggage that they had to unpack: hers with feeling burdensome and his with his ex. They were unfair to eachother but we’re able to speak about it and make lists, and go to therapy and be adults. I can’t wait to read the next books!!
P.S. I would have the same reaction to the s’mores. I once bought a excursion for the s’mores- it included taking a bus from SF to Tahoe and snowshoeing. #worthit

Synopsis:
Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan, and a list. After almost—but not quite—dying, she’s come up with seven directives to help her “Get a Life”, and she’s already completed the first: finally moving out of her glamorous family’s mansion. The next items?
• Enjoy a drunken night out.
• Ride a motorcycle.
• Go camping.
• Have meaningless but thoroughly enjoyable sex.
• Travel the world with nothing but hand luggage.
• And… do something bad.
But it’s not easy being bad, even when you’ve written step-by-step guidelines on how to do it correctly. What Chloe needs is a teacher, and she knows just the man for the job.
Redford ‘Red’ Morgan is a handyman with tattoos, a motorcycle, and more sex appeal than ten-thousand Hollywood heartthrobs. He’s also an artist who paints at night and hides his work in the light of day, which Chloe knows because she spies on him occasionally. Just the teeniest, tiniest bit.
But when she enlists Red in her mission to rebel, she learns things about him that no spy session could teach her. Like why he clearly resents Chloe’s wealthy background. And why he never shows his art to anyone. And what really lies beneath his rough exterior…
