đ±Mr. Wrong Numberđ”
by Lynn Painter
Pub Day- 3/1/22 -Happy Pub Week!
F me -đ„đ„ Colin Beck wowza! Ok got that out of my system! But really sexy suit then a fisherman’s sweater while wearing tortoise shell glasses – are you trying to hyperactivate my imagination? (Hey Google find tortoise shell glasses in husband’s prescription).
I feel like I keep saying this but this adorable whirlwind of a character was so relatable to batshit crazy me. Lol. But I loved the way Colin explained it at the end and Friend’s find you a partner that figures you out like that. I don’t want to get ahead of myself but these two had a very rough road and it was so steamy.
One night after Olivia has to move in with her brother after she was the cause of her apartment burning down (could happen to anyone) she gets a random text asking what she’s wearing. And with her snarkiness a cute banterish back and forth ensues. This brightens her otherwise crappy existence because along with the fire her boyfriend had been an unredeemable ass. This Mr. Wrong Number texts a few times more. But somehow the person in question finds out it’s her and yes he can’t reconcile the annoying little sister with this person he’s fallen for. And he definitely can’t date his best friend’s little sister. But … can he resist if she doesn’t? Then so much happens and the 3rd act heartbreak always scares me – I’m like cool, we are happy and having fun- why is there so much of the book left?
Ack! I want to read it again! I have been so lucky this year so far with books that have made my heart happy.
Read if you like:
â€Â Slowburn attraction
đ Witty banter
â€Â Whirlwind of sunshine and responsible big brothers best friendÂ
âWhat are you doing or reading this weekend?
I would like to read a few more books to prepare for the March 8th pub date since I totally botched this pub date – I am still in the same week though so I’m good. And go pick out birthday decorations and cake for B’s birthday.
Thank you berkleyromance and netgalley for the e-ARC for my honest and voluntary review.
Synopsis:
Things get textual when a steamy message from a random wrong number turns into a thrilling anonymous relationship in this hilarious rom-com by Lynn Painter.
Bad luck has always followed Olivia Marshall…or maybe she’s just the screw-up her family thinks she is. But when a “What are you wearing?” text from a random wrong number turns into the hottest, most entertainingâalbeit anonymousârelationship of her life, she thinks things might be on the upswing….
Colin Beck has always considered Olivia his best friend’s annoying little sister, but when she moves in with them after one of her worst runs of luck, he realizes she’s turned into an altogether different and sexier distraction. He’s sure he can keep his distance, until the moment he discovers she’s the irresistible Miss Misdial he’s been sort of sexting for weeksâand now he has to decide whether to turn the heat up or ghost her before things get messy.
I love books with wrong number in the title. Not sure why but just do. Putting this one on my TBR.
