Two words: Elias Veturius. π₯π₯π₯
I keep adding to my list of book crushes as I read/listen to books. (I just listened to this on audio a few weeks ago and I think I will listen to any audiobook that Steve West has recorded luckily as I googled that it is a lot.)
Elias is a conflicted character that doesn’t know where he belongs but definitely doesn’t want to be where he is. He wants Helene, he wants Laia. He wants to win, he wants freedom. He just wants someone to want him for him and not what he can do for them. Laia learns the hardest lesson in the worst ways. You can’t assume the good guys aren’t compromised and that they are on your side or helping you. There are always ulterior motives and everyone always looks out for their own interests and their own goals.
And last and def least F you Keris. π
I’m hoping to listen or read the others in the series before the next book releases!! Very fascinating world and characters!
