This cover is so colorful and fun!
The description of being a mix between the Unhoneymooners and the Hating Game was definitely a draw for me.
Henley Rose Evans is a hard-working marketing manager for a cruise line. She finds out she is up for promotion along with the social media manager Graeme. The office is in Seattle but he works remotely from Michigan. They seem to be at odds with eachother and don’t get along at all.
I find Henley to be a very details oriented person, hardworking, altruistic, empathetic but very busy like we all get. Focused on the next rung of the ladder and not the people in her life.
Their boss told them to go on cruise to the Galapagos and drum up a proposal for the digital marketing platform.
Henley brings along her sister, Walsh who shows up before the cruise and so many funny things happen once they step foot in the ship.
I don’t want to give too much away but I love Graeme’s openness and the way he expresses his story and how he healed after what happened to him. I love when male characters can talk about emotions!!
The connection that happens when Graeme and Henley see eachother in person for the first time in person on the cruise ship is also electric. There are a few moments that she caught him staring that I love lol.
Then once they get back to the decision of the promotion there a big twist that I didn’t see coming.
I could not put this book down!! I’m going to regret this in the morning! My daughter finally slept in her own bed. (Yep I’m regretting it! Theres a virtual dance recital today!)
I liked how at the end of the book there were resources on how to support conservation efforts. The Galapagos islands are a treasure and need to be conserved along with our oceans, forests, animals, ecosystems, planet!

Synopsis:
Between taking night classes for her MBA and her demanding day job at a cruise line, marketing manager Henley Evans barely has time for herself, let alone family, friends, or dating. But when she’s shortlisted for the promotion of her dreams, all her sacrifices finally seem worth it.
The only problem? Graeme Crawford-Collins, the remote social media manager and the bane of her existence, is also up for the position. Although they’ve never met in person, their epic email battles are the stuff of office legend.
Their boss tasks each of them with drafting a proposal on how to boost bookings in the Galápagos—best proposal wins the promotion. There’s just one catch: they have to go on a company cruise to the Galápagos Islands…together. But when the two meet on the ship, Henley is shocked to discover that the real Graeme is nothing like she imagined. As they explore the Islands together, she soon finds the line between loathing and liking thinner than a postcard.
With her career dreams in her sights and a growing attraction to the competition, Henley begins questioning her life choices. Because what’s the point of working all the time if you never actually live?
